Jewish Pride - Our Right

"Will Obama Inspire Jewish Pride?"

The black man, the white man, the Jew
All seek freedom and to know that their voice is heard
Will the election of a black man with Arab roots
inspire the pride of the Jewish men
to cause them to believe, that they too,
can conquer the worldwide prejudice against
them and rise up as men of honor
and leaders in this world?

You tell me

Were these gains by one black man
earned in honor and integrity?
Did he prove himself as wise, understanding
and above reproach as Joseph of old?
Is he a man who can be trusted
with the entire kingdom of the United States
and have positive, freedom extending influence
upon the world,
or as may be proven shortly,
will his gain mean the return to captivity
for the free world?

There is much to think about
with this recent election in the United States
They seem to have come so very far
from the repulsion of slavery
to the free enterprise of education
and voting rights for all

How can we not salute this man
who rose from the bowels of contempt
due to his color to the highest office in the land?

There is truly only one criteria
in the judgment of a man
Martin Luther King Jr. spoke it himself,
"I have a dream that my four little children
will one day live in a nation
where they will not be judged
by the color of their skin
but the content of their character."

Black, white, Jew, Arab, Indian, Asian ......
we are all judged by our character
May we be found worthy of the position
granted to us
May we strive to bring justice to all
a pure, free chance to achieve all that
has been inscribed within us
by our Creator
to bring, to establish, to cultivate
Freedom, Honor and Justice
to the nations

Will this one black man
who is now President-elect
of the United States win our approval
in the long run or will he betray
and cower behind his political machine
when the rockets fly our way?

We can only pray

Our trust can never be in man
for who has not betrayed the Jew?

We rely on One
Psalm 99
For He will come and judge the earth
each one
and He will not look at the color of our skin
but our hearts
Psalm 50
